Akashi Whisky is the only whisky in the world that is produced under the supervision of a grand master of sake making, a Toji. Thus, many sake-making methods are implemented in the production of the whisky. The Akashi Toji Blended Whisky matures first three years in Japanese Shochu barrels, then two years in bourbon barrels. Limited to 240 bottles. Tasting notes:Colour: gold. Nose: honey, pepper, slightly peaty. Taste: Chocolate, pepper, oak, vanilla, dried fruit, honey. Finish: Long lasting and spicy, flavours of cinnamon and honey.
