Akashi Whisky is the only whisky in the world that is produced under the supervision of a grand master of sake making, a Toji. Thus, many sake making methods are implemented in the production of the whisky. The White Oak AKASHI RED Blended Whisky is a typical Japanese blend. 30% malted barley and 70% grain are used for this whisky. The maturation lasts at least five years; three years in Hogsheads and two years in white oak casks.Tasting notes:Colour: Dark gold. Nose: Cayenne pepper, honey, lime. Taste: Vanilla, citrus aromas, wood. Finish: Long lasting, smooth, notes of cinnamon.
