The Distillery WhistlePig was created from a farm that was acquired in 2007. After a rebuild it could be opened in 2015. Master Distiller Dave Pickerell designed especially for the distillery Copper Stills, which are now in use 7 days a week. The goal of the distillery is to produce the best and finest rye whiskey in the world. A matured rye whiskey from Alberta, Canada. The Whistelpig 10 Years Old Sraight Rye Whiskey is a blend which is matured in new American oak barrels and receives a bourbon barrel finish. Tasting notes:Colour: Gold with amber accents. Nose: Toasted almonds, plums, figs, spices, warm apples. Taste: Spicy, apricots, cloves, cinnamon, notes of citrus, black tea. Finish: Long lasting, marshmallows, dried fruit, oak flavours.
