Today Tomatin is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland and was built in 1897 on the upper reaches of the Findhorn River. The malt that Tomatin produces is certainly not the most complex or powerful, but it is extremely tasty. Tomatin whiskies are usually unpeeled. The Tomatin METAL Five Virtues Series Limited Edition is dedicated to the Chinese philosophy of the 5-elements teaching. The philosophy describes the natural behaviour between earth, man and heaven. The 5 elements include wood, fire, metal, water and earth. Anyone who is familiar with the production of whisky will notice that all 5 elements play a role in the production process. The limited edition bottling is stored in First Fill Bourbon barrels. Limited to 6000 bottles!Tasting notes:Colour: gold.
