Tomatin is one of the largest distilleries in Scotland and was built in 1897 on the upper reaches of the Findhorn River. The malt that Tomatin produces is certainly not the most complex or powerful, but distinctly tasty. The whiskeys from Tomatin are usually unpeated. The Tomatin 36 Years Old is a small batch bottling of the Tomatin Distillery, more precisely the tenth batch. This unique single malt matures for 36 years in a combination of bourbon casks and Oloroso sherry butts. The bottling takes place without chill filtration as well as in natural coloring. Limited to 1,200 bottles worldwide.
