The Portuguese Collection of the Tomatin Distillery shows the excellent influence of the various Portuguese wine casks in the maturation of whiskeys. In total, the Portuguese Collection includes three bottlings: Madeira, Moscatel as well as Port. The Highland Whisky was distilled on September 08, 2006 and then aged for 8 years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. From 23.04.2015 the further maturation took place for 7 years in barrels of Tawny Port, Moscatel de Setúbal as well as Madeira wines.
