The Tobermory distillery was founded in 1798 by John Sinclair under the name Ledaig. In 1837 the distillery was closed until it was reopened in 1878. In 1890 the distillery changed hands and from then on it was owned by John Hopkins. Today the Tobermory is the only whisky distillery on the Isle of Mull.Tasting notes:Colour: copper-gold. Nose: sweet, spicy, dark chocolate, white pepper, raisins, espresso. Taste: Smooth, rich, sweet, spicy, dried fruit, chocolate. Finish: Long lasting, sweet, nutty, oranges.
