Master Distiller Billly Walker of GlenAllachie, spends an endless amount of time in warehouses of the distillery to inspect the over 40,000 barrels on site. Not a job for the faint of heart, however, it is time well spent as his efforts are rewarded by outstanding results. The GlenAllachie Distillery resists the era of corporate mergers and consolidations and continues to focus, as an independent Scottish company, on the important things; creating outstanding whisky and enjoying life. This GlenAllachie underlines this tradition and is made only from the best casks. This GlenAllachie matures for 10 years in ex-Pedro Ximénez casks, as well as Oloroso Sherry casks, but also Virgin Oaks and wine casks previously filled with Rioja.
