Description
Since the founding of the Balvenie distillery, there have been hardly any changes; the single malts are still produced in the traditional way today. Together with its sister distillery Glenfiddich, The Balvenie is still independent and family-owned by its founders. Blender David Stewart has put together this whisky from 21 casks. Sherry butts, bourbon barrels and double wood refill sherry butts were used. Limited bottling. Tasting notes:Color: Amber. Nose: Rich, soft, brown sugar, oak notes. Taste: Complex, peppery, candied orange peel, vanilla, hazelnuts, ginger, nutmeg. Finish: Long lasting.
