Taylor's is a port wine producer from Portugal. The family business was founded in 1692 and has been very successful in producing high quality port wines to this day. Alistair Robertson, CEO of Taylor's, has developed the Late Bottled Vintage style. He is the first with the idea to let the port mature in barrels for such a long time that it is immediately ready to drink after bottling. Taylor's matures in barrels for four to six years before it is bottled. Tasting notes:The port wine has a ruby red colour. In the nose elegant and fresh, fruity after dark fruits, mineral, after liquorice and herbs. At the palate rich and fruity, spicy, aromatic and sweet. Long lasting, with a finesse in the finish. Grape varieties: Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barocco, Tauriga Nacional, Tauriga Francesa, Tinta Cao. A delicious dessert wine. Can be served slightly chilled, especially at warm temperatures.
