Taylor's is a port wine producer from Portugal. The family business was founded in 1692 and is still very successful in producing high quality port wines. Alistair Robertson, chairman of Taylor's, has developed the style Late Bottled Vintage. He was the first to come up with the idea of allowing the port wine to mature in barrels for so long that it is ready to drink immediately after bottling. The Taylor's matures for two years in oak barrels in Vila Nova de Gaia before being bottled.Tasting notes:In the nose elegant and fruity with cherries and black currants. In the taste full-bodied and round, after dark fruits. Long lasting with firm tannin in the finish. This port wine is excellent for the classic use, port with cheese. May be served slightly chilled, especially at warm temperatures.
