Every single ingredient comes from the surrounding area and is purchased within an hour's drive.

Solera is a traditional method used by the Spanish to age their sherry and keep it consistent. A fraction of each young barrel is mixed with more mature spirit. It is the inspiration for the Solera Single Malt. And it means that in every bottle produced today there is still a hint of one of Starward's first casks. Apera barrels from McWilliams Winery are used for ageing; Apera is an Australian liqueur wine, similar to sherry.
