The history of the SeRum reaches far back into the 19th century. At that time the Panama Canal was built. Due to the hard working conditions and the outbreak of the disease malaria many Cubans and people living in the Caribbean died. Cuban women added pickled dried fruits and spices to their old Panamanian spirits to make a kind of energy drink that would give men strength. Later, these spirits were also used to treat snake bites and malaria, as they were believed to have a healing effect, hence the name 'SeRum'. According to legend, SeRum Elixir is a general miracle cure that is said to have helped the workers who built the Panama Canal between 1880 and 1914. From a tired soul to insect bites, this spirit is said to have been their support.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Fresh and fruity aromas, sweet honey, almonds, peaches.
