The boutique winery Heredad Segura Viudas is located outside Barcelona, Spain, nestled in the sunny vineyards of the ancient Penedès wine region. The origins of this winery can be found as far back as the 11th century. The winery emphasizes biodiversity and is certified as a winery for climate protection. For the Segura Viudas CAVA Reserva Brut Heredad, only the best wines are selected from each vintage, which are then aged in contact with the yeast for 24 months in the bottle. This maturation ends when the winery expert gives his OK to each bottle with a handshake. The first fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled low temperature between 14-16°C. This preserves the primary aromas of the grapes. The blend for Reserva Brut Heredad consists of nine different wines, each vinified in separate tanks. The first and second fermentations are carried out with their own selected yeast. Tasting notes:Here Spanish temperament and sensual sparkling passion meet. A straw yellow in the glass. Fruity and clear aromas of honey, dried fruits, bread and flowers in the nose and in the taste. Long lasting and wonderfully tender in the finish. Grape varieties: 75% Macabeo, 25% Chardonnay. Acidity: 3,5 g/l. Drinking temperature: 6-8°C. The Segura Viudas CAVA Reserva Brut Heredad goes very well with meat dishes, fish dishes or desserts.
