Description
The boutique winery Herada Segura Viudas is located outside Barcelona, Spain, situated in the sunny vineyards of the ancient wine region of Penedès. The origins of this winery can be found as far back as the 11th century. The winery emphasizes biodiversity and is certified as a winery for climate protection. In Segura Viudas Cava, only the best wines are selected from each vintage. The Reserva Brut consists of eight different wines and matures for 15 months in the bottle in constant contact with the yeast. Of these, four wines have already completed the first fermentation, these matured for 3 months in a yeast tank. Fermentation takes place at a controlled low temperature between 14-16°C. This preserves the primary aromas of the grapes. This aging then ends when the winery expert gives his OK to each bottle with a handshake. Tasting notes:Straw yellow in the glass. On the nose fruity, complex and floral. On the palate fruity, honey, dried fruit and flowers. Long lasting and wonderfully delicate finish. Grape varieties: 50% Macabeo, 30% Xarel-lo, 20% Parellada. Acidity: 3.55 g/l. Residual sugar: 9.0 g/l. Drinking temperature: 6-8°C. Segura Viudas CAVA Reserva Brut goes very well with cheese, mushrooms and monkfish.
