The Schneider family's winery in Ellenstadt was founded in 1994 with only one hectare of land; today, about 92 hectares of vineyards are cultivated. The vintner Markus Bauer attaches a lot of importance to an organic cultivation without artificial fertilizers and insecticides. He only uses organic fertilizer for his vines. A wide variety of grape varieties are grown on this estate, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet and many more. The average annual production is 800,000 bottles, which are now offered worldwide by various top restaurants, hotels and cruise ships.
