Rum Nation produces rums from a wide variety of nations. In 1999, the Rum Nation Rare Rums were founded. The bottlings are produced by an independent bottler, Rossi and Rossi, in Italy. The rum is molasses-based and distilled in Port Mourant in a 250-year-old Double Wooden Pot Still. It is aged in bourbon casks and finished in refill oloroso sherry casks. The bottlings are neither colored nor sweetened. Distilled: 1999 Bottled: 2020 Cask No.: 46/47/50 This is a limited bottling of 849 bottles. Tasting notes:Color: Amber. Nose: Strong, after molasses. Palate: Intense, aromatic, coffee, liqueur, herbs. Finish: Long lasting, pleasantly soft.
