The Rhum J.M distillery is one of the few distilleries that distill Rhum Agricole. The distillery is located in the evergreen Macouba on Martinique. The plant follows the strict regulations of the "Appelation D'Origine Contrôlée". Particular emphasis is placed on the very freshly pressed juice of the sugar cane grown in-house at the foot of the Montagne Pelée volcano. The Rhum J.m Single Barrel Agricole Hors D'Âge 1999 is a multi-layered 21 year old Agricole Hors D'Âge Rhum. Distillation takes place in column stills and bourbon casks of American white oak. The rums are neither colored, sweetened nor chill-filtered. Distilled: December 1999 Bottled: May 17, 2021 Barrel number: 180007 This is a limited bottling of 369 bottles. Tasting notes:Color: Golden brown. Nose: Intense, fruity, notes of nuts, vanilla, tobacco. Taste: Rich, fresh, notes of vanilla, tobacco leaves, nuts. Finish: Long lasting.
