The Penny Blue takes its name from the world's rarest stamp Penny Blue, printed in 1847. Today there are probably only 12 pieces of this stamp. However, it only became so sought after because of a printing error. It was not printed as usual "Post Paid", but "Post Office" up. This single cask rum matures for 9 to 10 years in sherry casks. The bottling is neither colored, nor chill-filtered or sweetened. Distilled: 2011 Bottled: 2022 Cask No.: 238 Limited to 216 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes:Color: Rich dark gold. Nose: Fruity, honey, spices. Taste: Oranges, passion fruit, tannins, spices. Finish: Long lasting.
