The Penfolds wine estate is one of the oldest wine estates in Australia. It is located in the south of Australia and comprises the growing areas Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Coonawarra and McLaren Vale. The Penfolds Koonunga Hill is a blend of Shiraz and Cabernet grapes. The red wine is known for its longevity and very appreciated among collectors. Tasting notes:Black red in the glass. In the nose a fragrance of exotic fruits, spices, dates and rose water. At the palate after red fruits like mulberries and red cherries. A nice interplay of acidity and tannins. Long lasting in the finish. Grape variety: Shiraz, Cabernet. Drinking temperature: 15-17°C.
