It is located in the south of Australia and comprises the growing areas Barossa Valley, Eden Valley, Coonawarra and McLaren Vale. The Penfolds BIN 2 is a cuvee out of Shiraz and Mataro grapes. The grapes come from the Barossa Valley region. Tasting notes:Dark red in the glass. In the nose fruity, after forest berries, blackberries and moss. The palate reflects the fruitiness, plums, cherries, nutmeg and cloves are in the foreground. Long lasting, juicy and spicy in the finish. Grape variety: 82% Shiraz, 18% Mataro. Maturation: 8 months in barrique. Acidity: 6,25 g/l. Residual sugar: 3,0 g/l. Storage potential: 5-7 years. Drinking temperature: 16-18°C. The wine harmonizes with meat and poultry.
