Penderyn whiskey is produced in Wales, making it the first available whiskey from Wales since the 19th century. The distillery is located in the Cynon Valley, in the village of the same name Penderyn. The Aur Cymru (in German "Gold of Wales") is a rare precious commodity. This golden whisky signals the new beginning of whisky distillation in Wales after more than 100 years. After distillation, Aur Cymru is aged in ex-bourbon casks. The finish it receives in traditional Madeira casks to develop its exceptional character. Awards: - Very Good 88/100 in 2019 at the Ultimate Spirits Challenge. - Grand Gold in 2018 at the Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial. - Gold in 2018 at the World Whisky Master Europe Premium.
