He had many passions, but his boat "Pilar" was his greatest.
Hemingway's descendants thus combined the name Papa (=Ernst Hemmingway) + his greatest passion (=Pilar) and brought this rum to the market.
To ensure that this rum maintains and reflects Ernest Hemingway's lifestyle and attitude, a large part of the proceeds are donated to various institutions such as the International Game Fish Association, The Ocean Foundation, Pen International, etc.

The Papa's Pilar 24 Solera Profile DARK RUM SPANISH SHERRY CASKS is a Solera blend that gets its finish in Spanish Oloroso sherry barrels.
The blends used come from the Caribbean, Central, South and North America.

Nose: brown sugar, oak, caramel, toffee, maple syrup, hints of nuts.
