Old Raven whiskey distillery is one of the pioneers in Austria. The distillery is located in a former Hungarian customs house in the Lafnitz Valley. The water from the 98m deep "Rabenbrunnen" gives both the whiskey and the in-house beer the unique taste. "Charly", a tamed raven that watches over the barrels, is already a legend in the history of the distillery during his lifetime. Old Raven is distilled 3 times, not cold filtered and also not colored. The storage takes place in Bourbon as well as Oloroso Sherry barrels. The whiskey contains no additional colorants and did not undergo cold filtration. Distilled: 2013 Bottled: 2022 Tasting notes:Color: Amber. Nose: Floral, juicy, sweet, balanced, vanilla. Taste: Full-bodied, fruity, red apples, vanilla, malt, nut milk chocolate. Finish: Long lasting, smoky and strong.
