Ojo de Tigre is a 100% Mexican and artisanal mezcal that has been on the market in Mexico since 2008 and in the United States since 2020. Luis Gerardo Mendez, the brand's founder, works daily in collaboration with Casa Lumbre to preserve the artisanal spirit of mezcal. The name Ojo de Tigre was inspired by the semi-precious stone tiger's eye. In ancient times, tiger's eye was worn as an amulet in the hope that it would bring protection and good luck. The Ojo de Tigre is made in Mexico according to 500 years of tradition. Espadín and Tobalá agaves are used for this special mezcal. After the plant is cooked, it is fermented and distilled in Copper Stills.
