MRDC, Mississippi River Distilling Company, is based in Le Claire in the United States. In 2010, the distillery was founded by two brothers. Contracts were made with local farms that supply ingredients for MRDC's products - for example, corn, wheat, malt and rye. The recipe for River Rose Gin dates back to the 1800s, and the distillate is enhanced with citrus in addition to juniper. The maceration tank contains oranges, grapefruits but also lemons. The copper still for this gin is called "Rose". The gin is produced according to the traditional pot still method. Tasting notes:Color: Clear. Nose: Fresh, notes of juniper, citrus. Taste: Fruity, fresh, notes of citrus, cucumber, lavender. Finish: Long lasting.
