Mezan Single Distillery Rum TRINIDAD is produced at the Trinidad Distillers Limited distillery. Mezan is a limited collection of unsweetened, non-colored as well as non-chill filtered rums. This rum represents the purest and authentic style of Caribbean rums. The fermentation process of the blend initially lasted 48 hours, but this was continued for several days, which gave it its excellent taste. The aging took place in heavily charred bourbon barrels, which were filled for the first time, as well as in former rum barrels. Distilled: 2009 Bottled: 2021 Limited to 4,000 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes:Color: Light amber. Nose: Fresh, coconuts, notes of tobacco leaves, toasted oak, citrus. Taste: Notes of lemongrass, peppers, fresh black pepper, hints of spices. Finish: Long lasting, notes of honey, oak.
