The company Mazzetti D'Altavilla was founded in 1846 by Filippo Mazzetti in Monferrato. Today, the family business is run by the sixth generation. The grappa is made from marc. Grape marc is produced during the wine-making process and is the residue left over from pressed fruit. It took many years until people recognised the value of pomace and distilled high-quality grappa from it.Tasting notes:Colour: Clear. Nose: Soft, clear, floral, herbs. Taste: Meadow flowers, fruit pulp, brown bread. Finish: Long lasting.
