Billy Walker is the Master Blender of MacNair's. He is one of Scotland's most respected blenders and has developed countless award-winning spirits over his 50 years in the business. Billy selects the world's best rums and brings them to GlenAllachie Distillery. There, the final barrel selection is made and blended by Billy. This is then bottled as Exploration Rum. Bottling is done without artificial coloring or chill filtration. Panama's volcanic soil is located in Central America and is the ideal growing environment for the sugar cane. The rum is distilled from sugar cane and aged in American oak barrels in the tropical climate of Panama. After expert blending, the rum is aged for over 2 years in red wine, virgin oak and ex-bourbon barrels. Tasting notes:Color: Golden. Nose: Fruity, notes of mango, peach, banana, ginger.
