The Francoli family distillery in Ghemme, Italy, has been in existence since 1875 and was the first grappa distillery that had no impact on the environment. The heat for the distillation process is obtained from vegetable fuels. This ensures a neutral CO2 balance. Francoli is one of the largest and most famous distilleries in Piedmont.
