At the northern end of Loch Lomond, near Tarbet, the first site of Loch Lomond Distillery was established in 1814. The current distillery was founded in 1965 by the former owners of Littlemill Distillery, a few miles away from Glasgow. The responsibility at the distillery lies with Master Blender Michael Henry. Michael grew up next to two distilleries and thus developed a passion for distilling and brewing whisky at an early age. He has been the Master Blender at Loch Lomond Distillery since 2014. Loch Lomond is launching an exclusive Austria Edition. The whisky is aged for 11 years in First Fill Bordeaux Red Wine Hoghsheads. The bottling is at cask strength, without dye and without chill filtration. It is a limited bottling of 296 bottles.
