La Maison du Rhum is an independent bottler from France. The company releases limited series of exceptional bottlings, from world-renowned rum producers, from major destinations. A true treasure trove of rums. Rhumerie Chamarel distillery is known for producing one of the best rums on the island of Mauritius. As the younger distillery on the island (inaugurated in 2008), French style rums are produced from sugar cane juice. The sugar cane used for the production comes from the distillery's own cultivation. The maturation takes place for 9 years in fresh French oak barrels as well as former cognac barrels. To achieve this special flavor is then a finish in used Islay whiskey barrels. Distilled: 2012 Bottled: 2021 Batch N°4: Limited to 3,558 bottles.
