La Hechicera comes from Spanish and means "The Sorceress". This rum reflects the seductively beautiful nature of Colombia, the biodiversity of the Caribbean, the magnificent landscape and the irresistible charm of a nation. Giraldo Mituoka began his career by harvesting sugar cane during the Cuban Revolution. By chance, Mituoka made it to the coast of Colombia, where he finally began to perfect his craft. The first bottling in the Experimental series is dedicated to a fine rum from Colombia with a muscatel finish. The rum is a blend of rums aged in American white oak casks for between 12 and 21 years. A finish of several months in ex-moscatel wine barrels gives this rum its distinctly complex and tropical-fruity character.
