The winery Markus IRO is located in Gols in the middle of the traditional wine-growing area, where about 20 hectares of vines are cultivated in excellent locations. 30% of the vines are used for white wines, 70% for red wines. The Pannonian as well as continental influences through high humidity as well as little precipitation favor the quality of the IRO wines. The soil of the vineyards is covered by lime, gravel, clay and sand.
