Between orchards and vineyards is the veteran distillery of Hödl Hof. The quality of the brandies is ensured by a 300-liter rough-fired boiler and a 200-liter fine-fired boiler made of pure copper. The fruit grown on the farm is transported by the shortest route to the fermentation cellar, where it is gently fermented under temperature control. For generations, double distillation has been carried out according to old Styrian tradition. Only the high-proof heart of it is taken and then matured in wood, glass or stainless steel. Fine cinnamon paired with a refined and secret blend of different chili varieties combine with a whiskey liqueur. The slight spiciness from the chilies you notice only pleasantly in the finish and warms so from the inside, like finely chopped firewood. The whisky used, as well as the cinnamon and chili additions, come from the Hödl Hof's own farm.
