This whiskey is produced at Hinch Distillery in Ireland. The distillery is located south of Belfast in Ballynahinch. Ballynahinch translates as "town of the island". In addition to Irish Hinch Whiskey, the distillery also produces gin called Ninth Wave. The Hinch 12 Years Old Irish Whiskey Amarone Cask Finish matures for 11 years in ex-bourbon American Oak barrels before receiving a twelve-month finish in 500-liter Amarone casks. Tasting notes:Color: Golden red. Nose: Floral, fruity, notes of elderberries, plums. Taste: Powerful, fruity, elegant, notes of elderberries, plums, black currants, sour cherries, red apples, pears, cinnamon, red wine. Finish: Long lasting, malt.
