The Highland Park distillery was founded by Magnus Eunson in 1798. Today The Edrington Group is the owner of the distillery. It is the northernmost whisky distillery in Scotland and is located in Kirkwall on the Orkney Island mainland. The distillery buildings of Highland Park are listed in Scottish Heritage Lists and produce around 2.5 million litres of whisky annually. The Highland Park distillery likes to associate its whiskies with Nordic mythology, which is why this whisky is called Triskelion. Triskelion is a symbol in the form of three symmetrically arranged circles, spirals or triangles. The number 3 plays an important role in the meaning of the symbol. Especially in Celtic mythology, the symbol is often associated with past, present and future or even birth, life and death.Tasting notes:Colour: Bright amber.
