Glenfiddich is a whisky distillery near Dufftown in former Banffshire County in Scotland and is the largest single malt producer in Scotland. The Glenfiddich 12 Years Old is a classic single malt whisky, which matures for 12 years in oak casks and has an unmistakable harmonious taste. The pioneer of the Single Malt category has matured in the best Oloroso Sherry and Bourbon casks. Uniquely united in oak barrels, it develops the excellently balanced fresh and complex notes. A Scotch whisky that is particularly suitable for beginners. Awards: - Gold medal in 2015 and 2016 at the Spirits Challenge.Tasting notes:Colour: Pale gold tone. Nose: Fresh, sweet, fruity, pear and oak, appetizing. Taste: Dry, balanced, light peat and pine notes, fresh pear aroma, malty. Finish: Very aromatic, the peat and pine notes are already present in the nose. Goes well with carpaccio of Serrano ham with rocket salad and sliced Parmesan cheese.
