Glenfiddich is a whisky distillery near Dufftown in the former County Banffshire in Scotland and is the largest single malt producer in Scotland. The Glenfiddich 12 Years Old is a classic among the single malt whiskies, which matures for 12 years in oak casks and has a distinctive harmonious taste. The pioneer of the single malt category is matured in the best oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. Uniquely united in oak casks, it develops the superbly balanced fresh and complex notes. Nose: Fresh, sweet, fruity, pear and oak, appetizing. Taste: Dry, balanced, light peat and pine notes, fresh pear aroma, malty. Finish: Very aromatic, lingering of the peat and pine notes that are already evident in the nose. Excellent with carpaccio of Serrano ham with rocket and shaved Parmesan.
