This whiskey is produced by the eponymous distillery Glen Scotia. Founded in 1832, the distillery has been known for fine single malt from Campbeltown for almost 200 years. The whiskies are produced near the sea, not far from the island of Islay. The distillery has produced its own exclusive bottling for Austria. This whisky is 8 years old and matures in First Fill Bordeaux Red Wine Hogsheads. Distilled: 2014 Bottled: 2022 Cask No.: 21/698-6 This is a limited bottling of 278 bottles. Tasting notes:Color: Amber. Nose: Sweet, peat smoke, notes of lemon, salted caramel, vanilla. Taste: Rich, peat smoke, notes of walnuts, honey, oak spice. Finish: Long lasting.
