The story of Elit Vodka begins on the Kerchnskoye Estate, in the Tambov region of Russia. This ancient land was specially selected for its fertile black soil - an idyllic environment for growing grains of the highest quality. After a slow fermentation, the carefully selected grain undergoes a triple distillation to "clean" the spirit from any traces of menthol. The artesian spring water used, which is blended with the distillate, comes from Latvijas Balzams in Riga, Latvia. To remove impurities, filtering through superfine quartz sand takes place, and the use of Russian birch charcoal helps to further optimize the spirit. In order for the Elit to maintain its uncompromising quality, another filtration takes place, the "freezing". A filtering process that is additionally applied after the traditional Russian filtering. The vodka is stored in barrels at temperatures of -18°, which freezes all impurities on the walls of the barrels. The super-chilled spirit is passed through ion-charged filters at ultra-slow speeds and is finally allowed to rest.
