The constant warmth and tropical conditions in Demerara dramatically accelerate the aging process, which takes place in American oak barrels for at least 25 years. Distilled: 1986 Tasting notes:Color: Dark amber with red-gold shimmer. Nose: Harmonious, notes of honey, caramel and dried fruit. Taste: Soft, intense, complex, oranges, notes of chocolate, coffee and dark toffee, hints of light tobacco. Finish: Long lasting, chocolate, toffee.
