Description
The heavily peated malts of the Edradour distillery are called 'Ballechin'. The Edradour Ballechin 8 Years Old is a cuvée of peat and unpeat single malts from the Edradour Distillery. Different casks are used for maturing; among others a Sherry Butt from 2008 (peatless single malt) and three ex-bourbon casks (peat whisky). The bottling takes place without colorants and cold filtration.Tasting notes:Colour: Rich gold with accents of amber. Nose: Peaty, dark fruit, milk chocolate. Taste: Creamy chocolate, peat, notes of ginger, dried fruit, ripe cherries, sandalwood. Finish: Long lasting.
