First produced in the 1930s, Duncan Taylor took Black Bull under his wing in 2001 and the whisky, a blend of equal parts of malt and grain whisky, began to resurrect. The Black Bull 12 Years Old Blended Scotch Whisky matures in European refill sherry casks and American ex-bourbon casks and is then blended with a Lowland Grain, which matures in American ex-bourbon casks, to create an extraordinary composition. Awards : - Gold medal in 2011 at the International Wine and Spirit Competition. - Best Scotch Blend 12 Years & Under in 2011 at the World Whisky Awards.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: notes of sherry, red fruits, cherries, toffee, hints of vanilla, lemons. Flavour: creamy, chocolate, fruit, honey, apples. Finish: Long lasting, toffee.
