The Deadhead bottlings are produced in Veracruz, a traditional city in Mexico. The premium rums present themselves as shrunken heads, which were taken home by the Mexican natives as a victory trophy after a fight. The look of the bottles also reflects the so-called "Día de Los Muertos", the Day of the Undead. A traditional holiday in Mexico. The Deadhead 10 Years Old is a special limited edition. For the 10th anniversary, this bottling was created by the master blender of the rum distillery. The distillate matures for 10 years in oak barrels. Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Fruity, sweet, notes of whiskey, stone fruit, maple syrup. Taste: Sweet, rich, notes of brown sugar, cigar leaves, sassafras, toasted pecans, oatmeal. Finish: Long lasting, oak, leather.
