Crystal Head Vodka Aurora is not just a mere reissue of Dan Aykroyd's vodka. The drink is made on an entirely different basis. While the award-winning original is made of "Peaches and Cream" corn, the new vodka is produced from the wheat variety "Sunset" from North Yorkshire in England. The mix of wheat and fresh glacier water from Newfoundland, Canada is distilled for astounding five times, an enhancement compared to the original vodka's quadruple distillation. The distillate is then filtered in seven steps, three of which see a filtration through layers of Herkimer diamonds. With Aurora, the brand stays true to its principles of not using any additives.
