John Glaser and his team at Compass Box combine high-quality single malt and single grain whiskies from their own cask storage facility in Scotland for their luxury blends. The Limited Edition ULTRAMARINE is the first bottling of the new quartet "Extinct Blends". This whisky is inspired by the ancient sherry and pipe tobacco notes of a blended Scotch first released in the late 1980s. The whisky is made from aged malts from the Caol Ila and Glendullan distilleries, from aged grain whiskies from the Cameronbridge and Girvan distilleries, and from stocks that have already been blended.
