The name Compagnie des Indes derives from the East Indian companies (Great Britain, Holland, France and Portugal). These trading companies travelled to America and India to import various goods into their home country. The Compagnie des Indes Rum brand was founded in 2014 and includes selected blends as well as single cask bottlings from various distilleries. All single cask bottlings are neither re-sugared nor coloured with sugar couleur.Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Fresh, fruity, dried fruit. Taste: Spicy, tropical fruits, notes of caramel, vanilla, hint of dark chocolate. Finish: Long lasting, fruity.
