Alexandre Gabriel created the current recipe of Citadelle Gin two centuries later.
This CITADELLE gin is distilled at Château de Bonbonnet in the heart of the Cognac region in copper pot stills.
The base is a distillate of French wheat, previously distilled 3 times. An infusion of 22 fruits and botanicals gives this distillate its distinctive taste.
Botanicals: Juniper berries, lemon and lemon zest, melon, yuzuzest, orange peel, cardamom, cubeb pepper, coriander, nutmeg, Sichuan pepper, cinnamon, cassia, liquorice, angelica root, iris, almonds, fennel, caraway, star anise, savory, violet.
Tasting notes:Colour: Clear.
Nose: Fresh, floral-spicy, intense, juniper, citrus.
Taste: Elegant, delicate, wonderfully fresh, floral notes, melons, tangerine, nutmeg, star anise and orris root.
Finish: Long lasting, fresh.
