Description
The vineyards of Casa Lupo are located 450 meters above sea level. The soil is characterized by limestone and fossil formations. The grapes are harvested by hand only at the end of September to allow the fruit to ripen as long as possible. Casa Lupo Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG matures for 18-24 months in oak barrels. Tasting notes:Strong red with garnet reflections in the glass. On the nose of various berries such as blueberries, currant and sour cherries. On the palate of sweet jam and vanilla. Long lasting, elegant and rich finish. Grape varieties: 65% Corvina, 15% Corvinone, 10% Rondinella, 10% Other. Residual sugar: 8,10 g/l. Acidity: 6,19 g/l. Drinking temperature: 18°C. The red wine goes very well with braised meats and well-matured cheeses.
